Amateur Swimming Assocation

We are a year round competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor. We are a non profit club, is run by its elected Board of Directors which meets each month. All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities and fundraiser.

Great swimming teams possess a combination of individual and collective qualities that contribute to their success in the pool. Here are some key qualities of exceptional swimming teams:

Commitment to Training: Swimmers and coaches are dedicated to rigorous and well-structured training programs. Consistent and focused training helps improve endurance, strength, and overall performance.
Individual Specialization: While swimmers excel in all strokes, great teams often have individuals who specialize in specific events, strokes, or distances, creating a well-rounded team.
Support System: A strong support network, including coaches, teammates, and families, contributes to the overall well-being of the swimmers and enhances their performance.

Leadership: Leadership within the team, whether from coaches or experienced swimmers, provides guidance, motivation, and sets a positive example for others.

Nutrition and Recovery Focus: Emphasis on proper nutrition and recovery is vital for maintaining peak performance and preventing injuries. Teams may have access to sports nutritionists and recovery resources.

Mental Toughness: Swimming requires mental resilience. Great teams cultivate a mindset that enables swimmers to handle the physical demands of training and maintain focus during competitions.
