On June 27, 2026, the Grenada Olympic Committee welcomed athletes, officials, families, and community members to Olympic House in Morne Rouge, St. George, for a day of sports, activities, and shared values.
Olympic Day is celebrated globally to commemorate the founding of the modern Olympic Movement on June 23, 1894. It is an opportunity to promote the Olympic values of Excellence, Respect and Friendship, and to encourage people of all ages to embrace physical activity as part of a healthy, balanced life.
This year’s activities in Grenada brought together:
- Athletes from various Olympic sports, inspiring young participants
- Coaches and officials who dedicate themselves to developing sport in Grenada
- Families and children who came to learn, play and celebrate
- Community leaders who support the Olympic Movement in the Caribbean
From friendly competitions and skill-building sessions to interactive workshops and cultural exchanges, the day was a vibrant reminder of the unifying power of sport.
